Eligibility and priority-tier checker

Six short questions to see whether your child is eligible and which priority tier or year-2 group you are likely in. We do not save what you enter.
Question 1

Do you live in Texas, and is your child eligible to attend a Texas public or charter school, or (age 3 to 5) eligible for public pre-K or kindergarten?

Eligible means a U.S. citizen or national or lawfully admitted child who resides in Texas. Children already in a private school are eligible too. A child aged 3 to 5 counts if eligible for public pre-K or kindergarten, for example a child who is not yet able to speak and understand English, is eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, is homeless, is or was in state foster care, or is a child of an active-duty service member; the families page lists every ground.
